Studio Cockatoo Geometric Art Prints (are in my house) + Giveaway

We recently renovated our bedroom ('before' photos here), and didn't have any artwork for the main wall of our bedroom. Before any of the renovations happened I did up a dream bedroom collage here and included some cactus artwork; but after the renovation some weeks went by and still we had a blank wall. I continued my search for something like that artwork in my collage but that was Australian. I was looking at a local store's photos on instagram, Blackbird Corner, and saw the gorgeous artwork featured there by Studio Cockatoo
Which look do you like more?

I got in touch with Kate from Studio Cockatoo, and ordered some lovely prints from them. Above you can see the 3 Cactus prints I ordered online in A4 size, and a little further down the page you can see the whale in my son's bedroom in A3 size. The really cool thing about this website is that they specialise in custom design. That means personalised art, people.
Just sneaking in a picture of some flowers from my garden in a vitamin jar that I've re-purposed, and then my succulents.
All that's left now for our bedroom is for us to get some great cushions.

My son's bedroom was  also renovated but last year, before he got here - THANK god. I wish I could have photographed it for you in the sunlight but we have cardboard on the window right now to make it extra dark for my son's prison crib time

My husband picked out this whale and I think it would be a great addition to my son's room if his name was Jonah. J/k - I love it.
My dining room has a new pineapple

It was a bit tricky to find somewhere that sold A4 and A3 frames. My search was finally over when I stopped in at FRAME TODAY in Lambton. They had pre-made frames in exactly those sizes, and offered me a discount. Follow them on FB to get Voucher's up to 40% off.

  3. I have a massive blank wall in my dining area and it looks so plain. I would love a print to break up the area, especially as it's one of the first things you see when you walk in the front door.

  4. Oh I LOVE those prints! I have an olive feature wall in our bedroom and in the five years we have lived in our home we haven't put prints up on the wall but these would suit our space so much!! I've just gone to check out the prints and I am loving the fruit prints, but hands down the plant ones would work well in our room. Great giveaway!

  9. How beautiful are they?! And an international giveaway...! Jess, you are brilliant!
I'd like to win a print for my brother and sister-in-law's new baby-to-be room. They have spent years longing for a baby and watching their friends' families grow up... now at long last and after a successful round of IVF, they're having a little fella in April! We are all so excited for them. They've chosen an elephant theme for little one's room... I just know that Studio Cockatoo could come up with something STUNNING for his wall. What a cool giveaway Peachy Keen Mumma!

  19. Wow, your pictures are beautiful! I've been wanting to get my daughter year 7 major artwork framed and hung up. It's a self portrait, and she put so much care and effort into it, I know it's a piece I will be proud to display for many years (Rafflecopter eliseellabban@hotmail.com)

  20. Who wouldn't love geometric cactus/whales/pineapples in their home? Personally I think I could do with a geometric penguin as hubby supports Pittsburgh penguin and they're awesome little dudes that sound like ducks! Channeling the geometric vibes here :-)

  23. Dave and I have just done up our bedroom, I refurbished some bedside tables, and we got a new quilt cover to match (going for yellow and grey) and the last think we need is some artwork to go over our bed!
We also do not have a single piece of art hanging in our house! It feels so EMPTY!

P.s. SO great having dinner with you on Friday with Kristy and Laura!

  24. @Toni Thank you! IF you are doing that bathroom renovation yourself - big kudos. We paid a builder. I was big and pregnant when we did it too so painting was interesting.
Our bedroom was so much easier.

  29. I ve never seen artworks of Cockatoo studio before but I lave all of them very much. My sister is lucky person and collect some original paintings at her house - and as for myself I would be very happy to hang on my walls 3 of these cute Cockatoo prints. I love the way hot triangles are able to make offprint of original. Thanks Lubka

  30. Thanks PeachyKM for the awesome snaps of your house its got a great vibe. I would like to win the voucher because I have a strong philosophy in that our surroundings reflect our mood. Studio Cockatoo seems to really capture ways to light up a space with a piece of colourful unique art featured on the wall. This is the first I have seen of their art and I could see the pineapple in a place in my home to bring about creative cooking.

  31. These paintings would mean so much to me! I would love to win the Voucher for Cockatoo Studio because the first big gift my boyfriend got me was a grafted cactus (the same that is in the 3 paintings on Jess's main bedroom wall.) Now every birthday, anniversary, Christmas and surprise gift is often coupled with one of these cacti. In way they represent our relationship and our time spent together. We are moving out together in a few months and I would love to put these bright and gorgeous paintings up to design our house around our relationship and make the house a home.

  33. I love the cardinal. I think he'd be lovely in my kitchen where there is nothing red at all. I just think hes lovely and i like how he looks like hes saying "whatcha doin? " Its much more pleasant than the "what can i eat?", "whats for dinner?", "why can't we have pizza every night?", " But i dont like fruit" that i normally get in the kitchen.
